Southland Horses For Trentham
“The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN, January 15. Shangri La, Bellarook and Baalbek, three Southland candidates for the Wellington Racing Club's cup meeting, left on Sunday on the first stage of their journey. They are due to cross to Wellington tomorrow evening. Shangri La will be ridden by R. J Skelton in the Tele graoh Handicap on Saturday The stable jockey, L. M. Casey, will have the mounts on Baalbek in the Camp Hack Handicap and on Beliarook in the Telegraph Handicap.
Bellarook and Casey proved a successful combination in the Stewards’ Handicap at the New Zealand Cup meeting at Riccarton in November.
