Sir. —Surely this abject surrender of the Holyoake Government to a handful of vested interests and monopolists, should open the eyes of any voters, if there are any still with their eyes closed after the last 12 : months. To seek to score a i cheap political point they have irreparably damaged the good name of New Zealand. What overseas manufacturer will want to enter an agreement with a future New Zealand Tory Government? Who now will send ; overseas funds for investment lin New Zealand?' Right at i this minute we are placing our hope and trust in Britain : over the E.E.C. How will . she react to this betrayal of j this British firm of world standing, so that a small ! group can profit out of trade with Japan and other Asian countries?
