1245 Scouts On Board
When the Inter-island steamer-express Maori left Lyttelton yesterday morning on a daylight trip, she resembled a war-time troopship. Her total passenger list was 1569 and of these. 1245 were scouts returning north from the jamboree at Dunedin. Kahki-clad figures crowded every vantage point The Hinemoa discharged 330 passengers after a daylight trip from Wellington, and sailed later with 897 northbound passengers when she resumed her normal schedule last evening.
