Winner Bv N.Z. Sire (From Australian Correspondent of “The Press”] SYDNEY New Zealand's main interest in the International Handicap at Doomben (Brisbane) on Saturday was that the winner. Brother Mac, was by Foxzami, New Zea-land-bred winner of the 1949 Melbourne Cup. which has been standing at the stud in Queensland with success for some seasons. Foxzami was by Nizami (imp.) from Honeywood, by Foxbridge (imp.) Foxzami's stock generally have needed time, and Brother Mac is one of the most notable of them now He won by three lengths. This was the third of the Internationals for which leading jockeys from several countries had responded to invitations from leading clubs to ride. The series has been a big advertisement for New Zealand horses, or horses of New Zealand blood, for although the feather-weighted Meadow Earl won the International at Caulfield. Savage (Ruthless imp—Happy Climax) was a brilliant second in spite of his 9-12. while third was the Targui (imp.) horse Havelock. which has won races at both Caulfield and Flemington but which recently has had bad luck. „
