Seat In House Of Commons (NJ!. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Jan. 11. The leader of the party of directors of the Commonwealth Fabric Corporation (Mr J. A. Leavey) ’ replied '•no” tonight when asked if he had been able to make any plans for travelling back to England. Asked whether he would have to be back in his seat in the House of Commons soon. Mr Leavey, who is a Conservative member for Manchester, said he would not like it to be thought that the meeting of the House of Commons provided an absolute deadline. Though he would not be required by his party whip to return by January 23 when the Commons reassembled he had his responsibility to his party and to his business in England as well as to the project in New Zealand.
