“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. January 9. The Takanini trainer, C. M. Jillings, said today that he would not know for certain until after they raced at Avondale on Saturday whether Stipulate and Shamrock Queen would go to Trentham for the Wellington summer meeting. It is not expected that Lord Sasanof will be on hand for the first day of the meeting on Saturday week. This Saturday, Stipulate is In the John Wells Handicap, a mile and three furlongs, the event in which Yemen ran unplaced immediately before winning the Wellington Cup in 1958. Jullings prepared Yemen for Messrs H. Korman and S. Sparks and he trains Stipulate for Mr A. E. Davis. The stablemates ot Lord Sasanof in F. and G. W. Smith's team. Prince Manu and Jan Beebe, are to leave at the weekend for Trentham, where they will compete in the two-year-old events. Lord Sasanof is to join them for the later day* of the meeting. Sasanof is the £3OOO Adams Handicap, a mile, on the third day (January 27). On the same day, however, is the Trentham Stakes (11 furlongs), a weight-for-age event which they might find more attractive. Prince Banu will probably be kept for the second day on Monday week. Pipe Dream and Gold Chlek. from R. J. Wallace’s stable, and Catania, the three-year-old fillv from R. C. Verner’s team, will also make the trip to Trentham at the week-end. Pipe Dream and Gold Chick, which race In different ownerships. will clash again next week lin the Wellington Stakes. They met twice at the Auckland summer meeting—in the Great Northern Foal Stakes and the Breeders' Plate—and each time Pipe Dream won and Gohl Chick ran second. Meanwhile both horses have thrived. At Trentham they will be ridden by stable apprentice. B. F. Andrews, and G. R. Edge In the Wellington Stakes both will carry 7-8. which is below the riding weight of Pipe Dream’s usual jockey, G. F. Hughes.
