Two Surf Clubs In Northland

(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, Jan. 8.

More members are needed by both the Ruakaka and Waipu Cove surf life-saving clubs. These two organisations are being overtaxed in patrolling their beaches and rescuing swimmers. Ruakaka lifesavers yesterday rescued six people, including a small girl. The club has seven members.

The Waipu Cove . club, which has about 20 members, made 29 rescues in the holiday season.
