In addition to those who p’.ayed in last week’s Canterbury championships. a further number of promising junior players will be sponsored by the national association to compete in the New Zealand championship meeting which will begin at Wilding Park today.

Misses A Gleme C Drummond. B Tietjens and G Landells (A.uckland). S Sutton (Otagoi. L Cullen (Southland), A Walker (Wellington) and G. Hirst (Hutt Valley).
