N.Z. HORSES FOR U.S.
Departure On Wednesday <N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 5. Scottish Command, owned by Mr R. McKenzie, of Wellington, will leave Auckland for the United States on Wednesday Also on board will be the champion trotter, Ordeal. Scottish Command is to contest the New Year Handicap, the first leg of the double at the Cambridge meeting tomorrow. Ordeal will start in the second leg, the McMillan Handicap. Both horses will be driven by C. S. Hunter. Ordeal, which already holds four New Zealand records, will run a time trial over one mile before the first race tomorrow. Ordeal’s American programme has not been finally decided but her owner. Mrs W. A. Bradley, says that after racing in the United States. Ordeal will return to New Zealand. Scottish Command will race on lease for a patron of the stables of the leading trainer, S. Dancer. >
