PRIMASTELLA INQUIRY

Positive Swab Of Morphine (NZ.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY. January 4. The New Zealand trotter, Primastella, was doped with morphine when she won the Trotter*’ Handicap at Harold Park, on December 15. Thi* was announced by the New South Wales Trotting Club steward* today, when they began an inquiry about the swab taken from Primeatelia. Primaatella, a 10-yaar-old mare, is trained by J. Caffyn. Sydney’s leading driver for the last four years and one of the most prominent trotting figures in Australia. Caffyn, who drove Prlmastolla, appeared before tbo steward* when the inquiry began today. Primastella is owned by Caffyn. in partnership with Messrs S. and G. Aiken, wellknown bloodstock agents. The mare was having her third race in Australia when she won st Harold Park at long odds. The inquiry la unfinished.
