Many Inquiries And New Members
A flood of new members, renewed subscriptions and inquiries have caused a hectic few weeks for the staff of the Automobile Association (Canterbury). “We are really feeling the benefits of the new building." said tiie general secretary (Mr E. S. Palliser) yesterday. From the tart week in November to the end of December, the association had enrolled 835 new members, Mr Palliser said. In the last week of the year 324 members had been enrolled. Funds from subaenpttons totalled £6400 in December, he said. Inquiries before Christmas had been mostly from Canterbury motona's wanting information on touring other Parts of New Zealand. Mr Palliser said. Now the staff were "hard pressed” answer* mg the inquiries of vitatora wanting mtforix»taon on Canterbury touring.
