The number of new donors fell from 1149 in 1960 to 1059 in 1961. The number of new country donors was 697 against 758 in 1960. and there were 362 new city donors against 391 in 1960. The amount of blood collected by the mobile unit was higher last year than in the previous year, having risen from 2531 to 2642.
