Joint Committee On Licensing

(N.Z. Press Association) NVERCARGILL Jan. I

The Government has invited the co-operation of the National Council of the Licensed Trade in setting up a joint committee representing the trade, Justice and Police Departments to consider the problems involved in rewriting the licensing laws of New Zealand. The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) said this at Te Anau at the week-end. “It is the Government’s intention to bring down a bill next session to consolidate the licensing laws,” he said.
