Invercargill Wool

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, December 27. The realisation from the second main Invercargill wool sale was £1,895,795 on December 9, compared with £1,936,626 from the corresponding sale last year, a drop of £40,831 which is small in relation to the total figures. There was a small increase in the total offering at this month's 5a1e—33,244 bales compared with 32,573 —and the average was 40.57 d a lb. At the sale in December,

1960. the average was 41.29 d. The prices at the sale this month were a little better than those at the first main Invercargill sale of the season in October, when 23,667 bales sold at an average of 39.9 d a lb.
