Hot And Sunny Boxing Day was hot and sunny again this year. The highest temperature, 77<lgg„ was recorded at Harewood at midday. At 3 p.m. the temperature had dropped lo 72deg On Christmas Day the highest temperature was 64.8 deg. During the day the winds were light and variable, mainly from the north-east. On Boxing Day last year conditions were very similar, with 12 hours of sunshine, slightly more cloud, and a maximum temperature of 70deg. New Surf Canoe The South Brighton Surf Life-saving Club’s new fourman fibreglass canoe made its debut at the beach in front of the club's new pavilion yesterday afternoon. The canoe is the first craft the club has had since its old canvas canoe became unserviceable two years ago. The new canoe was built in Dune din.
