Summer Cup To Kamikaze (JM.Z. Press Assn—Copyright, SYDNEY, Dec. 26. The New Zealand horse. Kamikaze, backed from 10/1 to 7/1, won in a thrilling photo finish in the Summer Cup at Randwick today. He beat another visitor, the Queensland horse. Alspick (3/1), by a short half-head. Many thought that Alspick had just got home. Revel Victory (7/1) was a length and a half away third. Kamikaze gave indications of a good Summer Cup run at Rosehill on December 16. He came to Australia more as a sprinter, but left no doubt of his staying ability by his win today. He was always in the main bunch. Kamikaze kept up his effort right to the line. It was a good win for his trainer, H Riley, who has several good horses from New Zealand. R.
