The Indonesian Air Force is the most modern in Asia and stands ready to carry out President Soekarno’s orders, an Indonesian Air Force spokesman said yesterday The spokesman told reporters the Air Force was “always ready to bear tesponsibility.” Indonesia's frontline aircraft are Russian-built or designed TU-16 Badger long-range jet bombers IL-28 medium bombers and MiG 27 fighters.
