INCREASED SALE OF EGGS

Report By Poultry Board In 16 years the number of eggs received by licensed distributors has increased from 12,808.627 dozen to 23.242.579 dozen, says the annual report of the New Zealand Poultry Board. The increase of 845,000 dozen last year was less than those of previous years. Increases in the two previous years were nearly 3m dozen Sales of eggs through licensed dealers last year numbered 20.418,919 dozen, says the report. The figure compares with 18.431.847 dozen in the previous year, and 10,738.570 dozen in 1953. The increase in sales last year was 1.987,000 dozen. This compares with an increase of 2.442.000 dozen in the previous year.
