KENNEDY’S FATHER
Condition Still Serious (N Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PALM BEACH (Florida), December 26. President Kennedy again called on his seriously ill father last night and emerged smiling and much more relaxed than previously. Earlier in the day the White House press secretary. Mr Pierre Salinger, said 73-year-old. Mr Joseph P. Kennedy, ‘responded well” to visits from his family. But his condition remained serious although the fever from the mild attack of pneumonia suffered yesterday had subsided. The paralysis of speech and right aide, due to the stroke which he suffered last week, remained. Yesterday. President Kennedy joined with other members of the Kennedy family for Christmas celebrations at Palm Beach The “New York Times” reported that the President was going to have a “last look.” starting today, at the 1962-63 Budget his Administration will propose to Congress He would also begin work on his State of the Union message. Several members of his staff will arrive tomorrow and work with him for two or three days.
