Fast As Bomb Test Protest

(N Z.P A.-Reuter—Cowright) TOKYO, Dec 26. An American woman and her daughter observed a 12hour public fast in Hiroshima on Christmas Day in an appeal for early prohibition of all nuclear weapons. They were Mrs Barbara Reynolds and Miss Jessica Reynolds, the wife and daughter of Dr. Earl Reynolds. an American lecturer at Hiroshima Women’s University. The two women knelt in prayer -in front of the atom-bombed children’s statue in Hiroshima Peace Park. After the fast. Dr. Reynolds and his family cabled appeals to Preisdent Kennedy and the British Prime Minister (Mr Macmillan).
