Instant fish-akes is the latest scientific development by the Canadian Government. They are a blend of cooked fish and potatoes, dehydrated to the appearance ot fine flakes. They can be reconstituted. heated and ready for eating within nine minutes. Instant fishcakes are the brainchild of Dr E. A. Aaselbergs. head of the agriculture department’s Plant Research Institute. A year ago he came up with a new formula for instant mashed potatoes. Both his formulas are being studied by the Ameri* can Government now for possible use by astronauts travelling to other planets.
