FIRE DANGER AT BARBECUES
With the present heat and dry conditions it was unwise to light fires in the open for barbecues, said the Chief Fire Officer (Mr L. R. Osmond) yesterday. “These fires can quite easily get out of control. By law the responsibility is then on the shoulders of the person who lit the fire.” he said.
