Carapark Hldgs. Annual Meeting
Carapark Holdings,- Ltd, Sydney, net profit for the four months to October was at a yearly rate of about £75,000. the chairman (Mr R. J. Rankin) told the annual meeting. This was equal to about 5 per cent, on capital after the note conversion, he said. Holders of more than 76 per cent, of Carapark’s capital have accepted the offer from Motels of Australia, Ltd.
Hooker Bid.— Jedda, Ltd, Sydney, motion picture producer, has received an offer from Hooper Finance Company, Ltd, of Is a share for each of the 274,000 5s ordinary shares. T. G. Macarthy Purchase.The purchase of the old-estab-lished Wanganui wine and spirits firm of F. J. H. Nancarrow, Ltd, by T. G. Macarthy (Wanganui), Ltd, has been announced. The new owners, also wine and spirits merchants, will take over at the start of the new year. The purchase includes a two-storey building in St. Hill street.
