SCHOOL CERT. RESULTS
Publication Late In January (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec 19 The final markings of the papers from this year’s record 25.500 school certificate examination candidates are now being received by the examination division of the Education Department and results are being prepared for machine processing. The staff of the division will be working at pressure, with only Christmas Day, Boxing Day. and New Year’s Day as holidays until the results are completed towards the end of January. Last year the results were published on January 21, but at this stage it is impossible to give a firm date for publication of this year’s results. There were 2500 more candidates this year than last, but it is hoped to have the results ready about the same time.
