Forced Landing Near Fairlie

(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Dec. 19. A Tiger Moth aircraft made a forced landing on “The Brothers” at a height of about 2000 feet, east of Fairlie, at 4.6 p.m. today. The aircraft, piloted by a student pilot, landed on fairly rough ground. It is the sole Tiger Moth in the South Canterbury Aero Club. It came down on Mr Bruce Adam's "Glen Sarg” property, and suffered only moderate damage The pilot was on a training flight from the Timaru airport at Levels. The flight began at 3.20 p.m., and it is believed that engine trouble caused the aircraft to land.
