RANGIORA WORK

Candidates For Auckland Our Own and the Auckland Cup candidate Smokeaway were worked over two miles the reverse way after the Rangiora meeting on Saturday. Our Own went away about 60 yards in front of Smokeaway, which took over the role of pacemaker at the end of about half a mile. They went easily over the first mile in abut 2min 25«ec and then speeded up to complete their task in about 4min 36sec, They sprinted the last four furlongs in about Imin Isec, with both horses running on strongly. Both Our Own and Smokeaway look in good order for their engagements at Auckland. They will be accompanied north by Rembrandt, which will be driven by D. G. Jones in his engagements at the Auckland meeting.
