THREE TAXIS AN OWNER

Limit Fixed By Authority (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. No more than three taxis may be owned by one person or a married couple, the chairman of the Wellington Metropolitan Licensing Authority, Mr B. L. Dallard, ruled. Strictly speaking there should be one licence to one man, but custom in the past had permitted more, in some cases up to five, he said. In order “not to make the break too sudden” the authority decided to make the maximum three. The question had recurred with an application for ownership of a fourth cab. which was refused, Mr Dallard said.
