For the first time Australia would hold one at Easter, at Ballarat, said the manager of the Australian tourists (Mr G. E. Mclntyre) after the third international test, on Saturday. Rowing in Australia did not attract a large following, as it had to compete with surfing. There were only 45 to 50 clubs in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
