Little River, the top team tn the Banks Peninsula Cricket Sub-asaociation's competitions, narrowly defeated the bottom team. Alcanna. to maintain its position when matches were continued on Saturday. Mainly responsible for Little River’s win were three schoolboys. M. Barclay (961. B. Hutchison (SO), and A Norman («lx wickets tor 15 runs). The Be Bona off-spinner H Dalglish was another to take good bowling figures with six wicket! for 22 runs against Walnut With two rounds completed, there are only eight points between the top tour teams.
