New Bid For Fibre Containers?
Fibre Containers, Ltd., reports another company has advised that it intends to make a counter offer within the next few days. Fibre Containers directors on December 1 recommended acceptance of an offer by The Bowater Paper Corporation, Ltd., United Kingdom, of one £1 Bowater stock unit for each two 5s Fibre Containers stock units, plus 5s 4d cash for each unit. The offer was worth 32s lOd for each Fibre Containers stock unit. C.F.M. Dividend.—The 6 per cent, ordinary dividend recommended by directors of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, Ltd., Is an annual dividend. It was incorrectly referred to in a heading yesterday as an interim dividend. A.B. Consolidated. Interim dividends are 2J per cent, preference and 2i per cent, ordinary. The dividends were inadvertently transposed in a report published on Tuesday. Rolleston Supermarket. A site of one and a quarter acres in the Rolleston township has been purchased by G.U.S. Properties, Ltd., from the Rolleston Saleyards Company. Ltd.
