Mr J E Mannering. a farmer, of West Eyreton, was welcomed to the Lyttelton Harbour Board yesterday He represents the Eyre. Rangiora and Oxford counties and the borouchs of Rangiora and Kaiapoi. and replaces the late M- C. W Tyler. Mi L. G. Amos was reappointed by the City Council last evening as one of its representatives on the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority. Mr Amos retired from the council at the last election. He is an original member of the authority. His new appointment is for the next five years. Mr G D Stewart has been appointed to the board of directors of the Bank of New Zealand He has been appointed for a three-vear term —(PA.) Detective-Constable J.
