NUTRITION SOCIETY

London Diploma Presented A diploma awarded to the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Nutrition Society by the Good Foods and Good Health Society of London, was presented by the Mayor (Mr G. Manning) last evening. The award, which was accepted by the president of the society (Mr T. O. L. Armstrong) was in recognition of the work done by the society in educating the public in the principles of sound nutrition. The New Zealand Nutrition Society, a chartered affiliate of the American Academy of Applied Nutrition, was formed to promote and advance the science and art of nutrition. It aims to establish sound principles of nutrition as an integral part of public education. while stimulating the interest of its members in subjects which are fundamental to a better understanding of nutrition as it applies to public welfare.
