Since Tactile won the New Zealand Golden Slipper Stakes at Waimate on Saturday there have been several inquiries from the north to buy the Hal Tryax colt, but one of his part-owners, Mr A J. Dynes, of Invercargill said today that with Tactile likely to contest the season’s main classics, including the New Zealand Sapling Stakes and New Zealand Kindergar ten Stakes, for which entries had already been taken, not much thought had been given to the idea of selling him. A substantial four figure price had been rejected for Tactile before he raced, but according to Mr Dynes he would “be for sale at a price.” Tactile was taken north by D J. Townley after his Waimate success. He is engaged in the Rangiora Raceway Stakes on Saturday when he will be driven by Townie,
