C.I.G. Profit 5.3 p.c. Down On Last Year
(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, December 6 Consolidated net profit of Commonwealth Industrial Gases, Ltd., eased by £70,806 or 5.3 per cent, to £1,259,164 for the year ended September 30. The previous year profit had risen by £91,881. Profit is equal to an earning rate of 25.2 per cent, on bonus increased capital. It is after lower provisions for tax, £976,922 (down £208,653) and depreciation £967.348 (down £146,735). Dividend of 11 per cent, already announced absorbs £550,000, the same as the previous year's 12 per cent
