DEBATE ON CHINA

Australian View

(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) NEW YORK, Dec. 7. Australia told the United Nations last night that to remove Nationalist China from the United Nations in favour of the Chinese Communists would create as many problems as it would solve. The move would also have profoundly harmful effects on the United Nations, Australia’s chief delegate (Mr James Plimsoll) told the General Assembly. United Press International reported. Mr Plimsoll presented Australia’s views in the fourth day of the Assembly’s debate on China’s representation.. Another 43 countries are still to speak in the debate, which continues again today.
