Princess In Burma (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) TAUNGGYI, Central Burma. December 1. Princess Alexandra last night donned a mink stole to attend an open air buffet dinner at Taunggyi, capital of Shan State in the mountains north of Rangoon. Crisp, cool weather in the tiny mountain township, 300 miles from Rangoon, was a sudden change from the steamy Burmese capital where the Princess spent the first two days of her visit. Last night she and the Royal party were guests of the Chief of Staff of Burma’s Defence Forces and former Prime Minister (General Ne Win) at the headquarters of a Burma infantry brigade. The Princess, with General Ne Win and the British Ambassador (Sir Richard Allen) afterwards watched graceful traditional dancing by performers from different tribes, brought to Taunggyi specially for the occasion. This morning the Princess was driven to Heho airport for a flight north of Mandalay. From there she will board a launch to travel down the Irriwaddy river to Pagan.
