Success For Llanlady
(N.Z. Press Assn.—-Copyright) MELBOURNE, Dec 3 The New Zeals nd-bred filly. Llanlady. upeet two confident plunges on the second and third place-getters when she won the Holyrood Handicap at Flemington yesterday. Starting at 6/1, Llanlady finished with a strong run to beat Hareitta. which was backed from 6/1 to 9/2, by a neck. Llanlady was considered by her connexions to be unlucky at her last start when she was fifth to Lure at Caulfield. In that race Llanlady cast a plate, became unbalanced. and dropped back to the rear of the field. She ran nome strongly and under the circumstances her effort was very pleasing. Today she ran right up to that form and was in a winning position throughout. Heavy rain overnight in Sydney caused the cancellation of yesterday’s Rosehill meeting.
