Chch-Dunedin In llhr 26min fHZ Press Association) DUNEDIN, Dec. 2. E. Warren (Dunedin) flashed through the Dunedin Exchange at 4.26 pm. today, coasted his racing bicycle to a halt, and sobbed on his brother’s Shoulder. He had just broken the Christchurch-Dunedin cycling record. Warren today took 22min off the record of llhr 48min set by E. Wakefield, of Christchurch, in 1959. Warren rode the gruelling 226-mile journey exactly to the schedule he set himself in long training rides. He was lucky in that the journey was made in near-per-fect weather, and he had no punctures. About 100 cyclists were at the Chief Post Office to meet Warren, who was near exhaustion when he reached Dunedin.
