Goodwill Mission To N 7. ZW.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Nov. 28. Travel is a new and exciting adventure for 16 young Japanese, who arrived in Auckland tonight on a goodwill mission. The party of 11 men and five women is one of six at present touring various parts of the world under the sponsorship of the Japanese Government. The visitors are mostly in their twenties. All are working. One youth is a saladmaker, and there are shopkeepers, school teachers and farmers in the party. The leader, Mr Takami Ninoseki, is an assistant professor at the Tokyo University of Liberal Arts. Most are able to speak and understand English, but in Japan they have not had much opportunity of conversing with English-speaking persons. The party will spend two days in Auckland before visiting Wellington and Christchurch.
