City Man Wins Muscle Contest

The Melbourne “Sun” to-' day told the story of a Christchurch strong man who won the title of “Mr Melbourne” at the Lower Melbourne Town Hall last night “It’s fair enough if the New Zealanders run away with the Melbourne Cup now and then, but now they've even taken off the muscle men's contest,” the “Sun” said. “Simon Simenidis, aged 23. of Christchurch (formerly of Greece) was awarded the “Mr Melbourne” title from 24 "he men.’ “Simon was the only nonVictorian amongst the contestant*. and he came to Melbourne specially for the title. Since his arrival Simon was won the 'Mr Physical WsrfrriJon’ title wad was runner-up in the ‘Mr HercuE** competition.”
