Girls’ Life Brigade

The Christchurch division of the Girls’ Life Brigade was recently visited by a representative from the brigade's international headquarters, Miss J. Baker, of Auckland. During her visit Miss Baker inspected the brigade’s individual companies at work and gave demonstrations from the physical training syllabus. Miss M. Standen, an English brigade officer at present visiting the Dominion, also spoke to Christchurch brigade members recently. At the division’s cadet competitions earlier this month the cup winners were the 24th Christchurch Company (the Hills road Methodist group).
