Architects Elect Officers
Mr R. W. Taylor was elected chairman of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects at the annual meeting of the branch on Monday evening. Other officers elected were:— Vice-chairman, Mr P. Pascoe; secretary, Mr E. B. Simmons; treasurer, Mr G. A. G. Bruce; assistant secretary, Mr J. A. Scholfleld; committee, Messrs G. W. Lucking, K. D. Marshall. A. L. Mitchener, G. P. Sellars, J. Trengrove, F. M. Warren; auditor, Mr E. J. Woolf. Those elected as representatives were:— Regional Planning Authority. Mr K. D. Marshall; National Historic Places Trust, Mr J. A. Hendry; Town Hall Promotion, Mr C. B. Wells; Christchurch Beautifying Society, Mr M. J. Moffatt; Provincial Council building, Mr J. K. Collins; committee of architectural education. Mr A. L. Mitchener; public relations committee, Messrs J. A. Hendry, M. J. Moxatt, P. J. Bea ven, D. E. Donnithorne; panel of oral examiners, Messrs G. D Griffiths, V. R. J. Hean, A. L. Mitchener, F. M. Warren; Christchurch Architectural Association, Messrs K. R. Anderson, J. Trengrove.
