An “Ordinary Man”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 29. The Government, in its approach to the Licensing Amendment Bill, had looked first to the interest of the "ordinary man,” the Attorney-General (Mr Hanan) said in the House of Representatives tonight. Be defined the “ordinary man” as the worker who liked a drink after work, and expected and was entitled to have it in reasonable comfort, the traveller who looked for a meal or a bed at night, and sometimes knocked in vain, and the overseas tonrist.
