REINSTATEMENT REVIEW
Sub-Committee Set Up A sub-committee to review applications for reinstatement of swimmers from senior to primary carnival status was set up at a meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Swimming Centre last evening. The sub-committee, consisting of the chairman of the centre (Mr M. R. Duckmanton) and the handicapper (Mr R. W. Luscombe) was formed after the meeting had discussed cases where competitors had been found to be swimming out of their class in senior carnivals yet, under the present policy of the centre, were prohibited from returning to primary carnivals. A letter from Mr Luscombe said a Spreydon girl swimmer who had previously competed at a senior carnival had taken part in the Spreydon primary carnival on November 25. Mr W. S. Hodge explained that the girl had swum in a senior carnival last season but had not proved up to standard. This was before the present policy was in force. Centre decisions had to be supported, said Mr C. A. Harrow. On his motion it was decided to delete the points the swimmer had gained for her club at the primary carnival I
