Swimming TOUR OF N.Z. APPROVED

Misses Fraser And Shepherd (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) MELBOURNE, Nov, 28. The Australian Swimming Union’s executive has approved a New Zealand tour by the Adelaide swimmers, Dawn Fraser and Nola Shepherd. The chairman, Mr Hicks Ive, said tonight that at the request of the Auckland Swimming Centre, which was sponsoring the tour, Miss Fraser and Miss Shepherd would travel as a South Australian team. They would have a South Australian manager, yet to be announced. Mr Ive said Miss Fraser and Miss Shepherd, a promising junior breaststroke swimmer, would swim in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. They would leave either on Friday or Saturday week.
