Speech Therapv Pupils Attend

Parents of children attending speech therapy clinics in Christchurch held a Christmas party for the children at the Scottish Halt Edgeware road, on Saturday. More than 200 adults and nearly 400 children from . Waiau, Waikari. Glasnevin, Darfield and Hanmer, as well as Christchurch districts. attended. Specially invited guests were children from the Christchurch Cerebral Palsy School. The president of the North Canterbury Speech Therapy Association <Mr J. Price) welcomed guests. Santa Claus distributed sweets and balloons to the children. The entertainment programme included a pantomime. "Hansel and Gretel,” presented by speech therapists from many parts cf New Zealand. They graduated recently. A treasure hunt was held and Mr R. Muir, dressed as a comedy tramp, gave juggling items. Community singing for the children was led by Mr D. C. Wyse. A bring-and-buy stall was held to raise funds for speech therapy equipment.
