Christinas Party.—A large Christmas tree occupied a place of honour at the Christmas party of the Christchurch North Townswomen’s Guild. The president (Mrs W. E. J. Maxwell) was hostess. The Christmas cake was cut by the Dominion secretary (Mrs R. H. Smith). A play, “Much Ado About Money,” was produced by Mrs L. Russell of the drama circle, and the singing circle presented Ivor Novello’S “The Dancing Years.” The guest artist. Mr A. Swift, gave whistling and bird mimicry items.
