BUS ROUTE CHANGES

Wainoni And North Beach The Christchurch Transport Board decided yesterday to extend the Wainoni bus route from its present terminal at the corner erf Bower avenue and New Brighton road to the corner of Palmers and New Brighton roads, provided the City Council will agree to metal a small portion for the turn-round. A report by the works and traffic committee said that the extension would put residents at the southern ends of Palmers road and Baker street in the ** catchment area” of the Wainoni route Residents at the northern ends of Palmers road and Baker street are served by the North Beach service.
