Mr H. A. Magson, the New Zealand ploughing champion who was placed second in the world ploughing match in France, is expected to arrive at Christchurch airport on Friday afternoon. Mr Anderson Tyrer, the first conductor of the National Orchestra arrived in Auckland this evening to conduct examinations for the Trinity College of Music, London. Mr Tyrer built up the National Orchestra from 1946 to 1949. —(PA.)
