U.N. Assembly Condemns Nuclear Weapons

(AT .Z.P. A.- Reuter—Copyright/ NEW YORK, November 25. The United Nations General Assembly has condemned '7 ea P° n s, in spite of strong Western objections. It labelled the use of nuclear weapons “a direct violation of the Nations Charter,” and called for a conference to prohibit their use.

In a separate decision, the Assembly called upon all member States to consider and respect the Continent of Africa as a de-nuclearised zone. The Soviet bloc voted for both drafts.
